David Dizo

(David Izquierdo Lahuerta)

He is an artist who has developed his painting self-taught. He is trained in Architecture and Interior Design. Most of his work revolves around the human being. His figures and faces are forcefully to convey emotion and feelings. He searches his memory for images that he wants to represent, sometimes mixed with real human models. People under an unreal light on backgrounds that accentuate his expressions as an aura of intense color.

His painting is the result of the development of his own pictorial technique, which is based on creativity and plastic skill. He works on paper and board, mixing gouaches and impastos. Like trying to blend watercolor and oil; something impossible. That is why he uses acrylic paint and favors the random play of water, its unpredictable dynamics on paper when mixed with thick paint. Glazes against textures.

Then he seeks a balance between the planned and the fortuitous occurrence. In this way, he patiently allows fugitive inspiration to influence the entire work.
